rainwater InDIGO Totes
It all started when it rained and a bucket filled …
Then each tote is was tied, tucked and twisted using the ancient Japanese Shibori pattern making technique. Each tote is lovingly and slowly hand died in the Blue Mountains. This colour comes from the indigo plant mixed with rainwater and dried in the sunshine, hung on the hills hoist washing line and ironed by hand. Each tag has been hand block printed using a carved print made by Pip and pressed onto recycled board. Each bag is always completely unique.
Each tote is made from 140 gsm 100% cotton fabric; it is suitable for weights up to 5-7kg. Size: 37 x 44 x 10cm deep.
